Sarah Starkweather is a dancer and fitness professional living in New York City. Since 2009, Sarah has performed over 150 times with professional dance companies from New York, New Jersey, Missouri, and Texas. Sarah has worked with choreographers such as Jennifer Archibald, Amanda Selwyn, Liz Imperio, Ashle Dawson, Mitzi Adams, Ashley L. Tate, Jennifer Medina, Katelyn Halpern, and Ashley McQueen.

Sarah holds a BA in Psychology from The University of Texas at San Antonio, during which time she also began her classical training with Catalina Garza, Ernesto Quenedit and Esther Mayer of The Cuban National and Royal Ballet, respectively. 

Sarah is a founding member of The San Antonio Dance Fringe, and frequently travels to Texas and beyond to choreograph and instruct technical/leadership workshops through MA Dance, for whom she also adjudicates regional and national dance competitions.

Sarah has been a certified fitness trainer since 2014 and currently trains members for Equinox Fitness Clubs throughout New York City. Sarah she was recently honored by Equinox as one of the Top 50 Group Fitness Instructors in the nation. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys plant based cooking, watching professional wrestling, and fostering kittens with her husband, Joe, for The Brooklyn Cat Cafe.

Dance Technique & MASTER CLASSES

Utilizing a fusion of classical and contemporary ballet, modern (Horton/Graham/Cunningham/'Release'), and jazz dance techniques into every class. Dancers will develop strength, flexibility, and body awareness, in addition to style, projection, and performance preparation.

Dance Performance PREPARATION

Passionate about strengthening both mind and body, Sarah will lead dancers through several mental imagery and meditation exercises designed to decrease performance anxiety, maximize focus, and improve performance.

Dance Private training

Provide your dancer with a highly tailored, one on one experience. Guaranteed to improve confidence and overall performance. Special prices available for online sessions.

Semi-Private Fitness Training
